Protect-a-Group

The Protect-A-Group series of plans are designed for Adult and Student Groups of 10 or more persons. The plan series includes three levels of coverage, depending upon the needs and desires of the Group Leader or Organizer - Basic, Comprehensive and Comprehensive+. Refer to the plan comparison chart for details of the Benefits of each plan. The Protect-A-Group series provides flexible rating plan options and comprehensive benefits.

* If You insure an amount less than Your total prepaid Trip costs that are subject to cancellation penalties or restrictions: 1) the maximum benefit for Trip Cancellation will be limited to the amount of coverage You purchased; and 150% of the amount purchased for Trip Interruption and 2) there will be no coverage available under the Cancel For Any Reason Benefit, (Comprehensive+ Plan).

Plan Highlights

Bankruptcy or Default

The Comprehensive and Comprehensive+ Plans provide coverage should a Trip have to be canceled or interrupted due to Bankruptcy or Default, as defined, of any airline, cruise line or tour operator occurring more than 14 days after the benefit effective date, provided the insured traveler has paid his/her premium to the Group Leader or Organizer within 15 days of his/her first payment to join the group. This coverage is provided without restrictive lists of approved or unapproved suppliers.

Pre-Existing Condition Coverage

With all of the TravelSafe Protect-A-Group Plans, the policy exclusion for Pre-Existing Conditions is waived provided the insured traveler has paid his/her premium to the Group Leader or Organizer within 15 days of his/her first payment to join the group.

Cancel For Any Reason

With the Comprehensive+ Plan, all travelers who have paid their premium to the Group Leader or Organizer within 15 days of the first payment to join the group, can cancel for any reason provided:

100% of the cost of all Travel Arrangements subject to cancellation penalties or restrictions are insured; and
The traveler cancels his/her Trip 2 days of more before the Scheduled Trip Departure Date.

Rates are available for trips up to $25,000 per person for the Adult Plans and $10,000 per person for the Student Plans. The Adult Plans are also available on an age rated basis.
